Value of Articles SEO SEM and Internet Marketing

Is an original, useful, authoritative and well researched article valuable for SEO, SEM and Internet Marketing?
Hell YES!
BUT there is a flaw in the matrix: Your definition of a good article and mine have the same relationship to each other as a chalk does to cheese.
There are far too many factors that determine the overall value of any article but there are some basics that could assist you in improving the technical quality of any article and here they are:
Your article will probably appear on a web page, there are probably thousands of other web pages that are similar or cover similar topics to your article. There are also a couple of web pages that will be authoritative for some of the terminology, concepts or ideas contained in your scribbling.
Lets start with an example. We will be writing an article on Search Engine Optimization AKA SEO and the how to write an article to be SEO friendly:
Resources:
Wikipedia has a fairly accurate definition of SEO (and SEM)
Articles are written by writers, some research reveals this cool commnet.edu website (http://grammar.ccc.commnet.edu/grammar/)
Pox.me of course has an article about the entire subject: Value of Articles SEO SEM and Internet Marketing
So let's start the first paragraph:
Value of Articles SEO SEM and Internet Marketing:
Correctly linking to authoritative web pages about the terminology, ideas or concepts contained in the body of your article is very important. Not only does it make it easy for the human reader to evaluate the truth, authority and value of your own article, it also assist the search engine crawler to link to pages that you consider to be valuable and authoritative for the terms that you are using. The Internet should be viewed as a large voting system, where pages can vote for each other in terms of quality and value. (Most brilliant concept coined by the creators of
google,
they are uber beings btw and you should love them lots - Don't bank on this simplicity though as the peeps that are designing, adapting and inventing the modern search algorithms are not normal people - One should not say that 'you need a rocket scientist' one should say 'you need a search engine algorithm designer' to figure out this or that) The
grammar
in your article is also very important. The quality of the content of your article can also determine how many other pages will link to it and will greatly improve your
search engine marketing
efforts
See how in the above the following tags were added inline < a href = ' http://www.google.com ' > Name of Link eg. google < / a >
So, now you can add links in your articles as well just take out the spaces in the above example.
Next issue: Original and duplicate content
Duplicate content is slightly evil, do not publish the same article on may websites unless it is news or similar content that a human would expect to see on both BBC and on CNN under International News, for example.
What you should do to extract the most value (for humans anyway) is to post the first paragraph (or maybe two) as a teaser, on mulitple websites and with a link to your website to finish reading the rest (or more detail)
Then there are various free article websites, mostly a general free article website, in my view, is also evil (similar to a link farm) Even if the search engines are not punishing this at the moment, please avoid these domains as they are only there for search engines and few humans are going to troll through all the content to find your grandmothers chock cake recipe...
